Inhaled Sedation
Nitrous Oxide, also known as laughing gas, is a form of conscious sedation often used to help reduce anxiety in our patients. At the end of your appointment, we use Oxygen to flush the Nitrous Oxide from your system, so you leave our office with out any lingering effects.

Oral Sedation
Oral Conscious Sedation is a safe and effective option to help calm those with mild to moderate dental anxiety. It is also a good option for patients who have very busy schedules and would like to complete their dental treatment in a few long appointments rather than multiple short appointments. The medication used has an amnesia effect so that patients often don’t remember anything about their appointments. Because this is conscious sedation (not general anesthesia), patients are still able to respond, but may sleep on and off throughout their appointment. Patients who choose oral sedation do need to have someone drive them to and from the appointment.

IV Sedation
IV Sedation is used for patients who have severe dental anxiety or require a more precise administration of medication due to health issues or previous failed oral sedation sessions. The medication used has an amnesia effect so our patients often don’t remember anything about their appointments. Because this is conscious sedation (not general anesthesia), patients are still able to respond, but may sleep off and on throughout their appointment. Patients who choose IV sedation need to have someone drive them to and from their appointment.
